I tried something new a few weeks ago … very last minute. I offered some boudoir mini sessions the week before Valentine’s Day. They were half the price and half the session time of a regular boudoir session and I booked a hotel room for the shoot to take place.  It went quite well considering I only had a week’s notice! I met some great ladies and made some beautiful images that I’m sure their guys enjoyed seeing for Valentine’s Day!

As usual, I only post images that have been approved by the ladies … and they can choose whether or not to have their images on my blog. Thankfully, a few said yes so I have some shots to share!

I absolutely love shooting boudoir sessions. There is something gratifying about hearing how happy the girls are with their photos. I know the guys are going to like them… their in love and know how beautiful the women in their lives are. It’s when the woman looks at the pictures and feels great about herself … that’s why I love boudoir sessions.

A little quote from a recent client:

Please let me start by saying that I had no idea that when I decided to give boudoir shots as a gift to my husband, I would ultimately be gifting myself a new idea of me…..Thank you for providing a perspective from which I can see my beauty.

See!? Awesomeness. I looove hearing things like this. So, if you are interested in a boudoir session.. contact me. I’d love to discuss a possible shoot with you! Want to save a little money and have even more fun!? Get a few girlfriends together and combine your sessions into one day. Ask about my Boudoir Party Pricing!

San Francisco Boudoir Marathon

Earlier this week I mentioned the possibility of  Valentine’s Day Boudoir Mini-Sessions this weekend… and guess what, it’s happening! There are a few spots still available, so contact me if you are interested!

While in the process of planning the Valentine’s Day  Boudoir Mini-Sessions, the opportunity to offer up another Boudoir Marathon in San Francisco appeared! I have the dates set for Saturday and Sunday, April 10th and 11th. I’ll secure a location for those dates. The sessions will be 45 minutes each, and include 20 edited, high resolution images on CD. If you book with a friend and share a 90 minute time slot, you’ll each save $25 on your session fee!

As cheesy as it sounds, there is something BFF about boudoir sessions. These women are trusitng me with capturing tasteful and discrete images of their bodies all while having to roll around on beds and change poses while throwing all things discrete out of the window in between shots. My goal is to make them feel as comfortable as possible. What better way to feel comfortable in a should-probably-be-uncomfortable situation than to laugh, chit-chat, and have a glass of wine?

Yesterday, I met up with N at her home to take some boudoir shots, laugh, chit-chat and enjoy a glass of wine. Once again, there were too many images to choose from – but I tried to pick a few of my faves.
N picked up some of her “pretties” from Reno’s own, The Chocolate Walrus and her hair was done by Lisa Schmidt at the Sapphire Salon.
